The Darwin site of GHS will be closed Monday June 28, 2021 due to extreme heat warnings and no air conditioning.
Any unusual heat issues pre Covid would have been managed by moving individuals to cooler locations and/ or providing transportation to air conditioned areas. Due to pandemic restrictions we are unable to do that.
The weather network is predicting a high of 44 degrees in Saanich tomorrow with a likelihood that it will feel like 48 degrees.
The Tennyson , Government and Gateway locations will all remain open tomorrow as they are air conditioned.
