May 12th Golf Tournament Benefits the GHSThe intent was to raise enough money to purchase a crew cab truck to be used by the Society’s Community Access Team (CAT) in their successful recycling program. The recyclables that are collected by GHS clients are used to benefit people with disabilities in Lesotho. We were successful and the $14,000 raised has allowed us to purchase the new vehicle!
Credit for the success of this event goes to all our volunteers, the golfers and sponsors. Thanks to all of you for your incredible support. Special thanks goes to Odlum Brown Inc., Metro Lexus Toyota, British Importers, and Totem Travel.
Self Advocates Attend BCACL Conference
GHS Expands Services for Artists This will enable the program to expand further and to engage in more community partnerships. Fundraising initiatives are already underway in order to raise the capital required to make the necessary changes. Stay tuned for exciting details.
ArtWorks ProgramArtWorks Artists will demonstrate their artistic abilities and showcase their new fundraising calendar at the 21st Annual Moss St. Paint-In, July 19th from 12-4pm at Moss St & Fairfield.
Proceeds from the sales of the perpetual calendar will go towards expanding the ArtWorks Program.
