ArtWorks Jennie Butchart Studio

The new studio is named the Jennie Butchart Studio, a tribute to the woman once named Victoria’s citizen of the year for her tireless commitment to creating a more beautiful world.

Most people recognize Jennie Butchart as the driving force behind the creation of the Butchart Gardens, the product of her ability to see what the hole in the ground could be instead of the quarry it was. It is somehow fitting that her name adorns another space that has found its true purpose.

What is less known is that Jennie was an accomplished artist in her own right, and her family believes she would have been extremely proud to be associated with ArtWorks.
