ArtWorks Fund

Greg achieves a sense of purpose and identity when he participates in the unique visual arts program that is ArtWorks. By developing his artistic talents and exhibiting his work at the local, national and international level, Greg has a sense of who he is and where he fits in the world.

“Social skills, self esteem and community involvement result from this specialized program which is lauded as a leader in it’s field in BC and across Canada” writes Kate Cino, Art Writer, Boulevard Magazine.

Robert Amos, Times Colonist, art critic reports, “A quiet hum of creative concentration pervades the ArtWorks studio space. It is clear from the start that these are people with artistic ability who are committed to making art”.

Greg and his fellow artists enjoy the camaraderie and encouragement within the ArtWorks Jennie Butchart Studio, while the ArtWorks Karin Koerner Gallery displays the impressive results of their creativity.

You can support the cost of paint, tools, frames, guest artists and studio maintenance with your donation to the ArtWorks Fund.

It is a celebration of creativity and self-fulfillment for Greg when he participates in the many artistic opportunities in ArtWorks. ArtWorks is a positive and stimulating environment for Greg to experiment with a variety of media that can express his inner feelings and moods. Greg also has opportunities for practicing decision making and communication skills, and improving physical coordination.
