
Pathways is a program for people who are getting older. What is most important about Pathways is that you are able to choose what you do and then do it at your own pace. When you come to Pathways, we will help you explore new interests, make new friends, and find things to do that help you feel good about yourself.
What kinds of activities take place?
- volunteering at community centres around Victoria—for example, baking cookies to take to children’s day care centres or helping out at food banks
- exploring and joining others in activities for older people (such as exercise programs, arts & crafts, musical events, museum visits)
- participating in the many events that happen around Victoria, such as hobby shows, fairs & garden tours.
- going on picnics
- helping our volunteers to walk their dogs, and going shopping.
- doing exercises
- going for walks and gardening
- learning new things on computers
- cooking and making good things to eat
- doing puzzles and playing cards
- making crafts
- visiting with our friends
