The Community Access Team supports adults to contribute to their community through volunteering. Clients develop skills that promote independence in inclusive, community-based settings.
What kinds of activities take place?
- Clients participate in community volunteer activities. Each client has specific responsibilities at each of the volunteer sites. Several volunteer sites are visited by each client every week.
- Clients develop skills at their varied volunteer sites including learning how to do a task independently, interacting with others in the community or learning how to do a new task.
